Swans are amongst the largest flying birds, and are the largest members of the duck family. Mute swans, trumpeter swans and whooper swans can weigh over 15kg and a length of over 1.5m. Their wingspand can be olmost 3 meters. A group of swans is called a bevy and a wedge when in flight.. Swans form monogamous bonds that last for many years and even for life. males help with nest construction and also aid in incubating eggs. They are very aggresive when it comes to protecting their nests.
