Rising Tide with Llansteffan Castle

A calm, sunny, summer day and the sun is setting. The beach is a popular place to visit but is never filled to capacity so there is plenty of space for everybody to enjoy themselves.

Llansteffan stands at the mouth of the river Towy. It is a pretty village with shops, pub and of course a castle. There are excellent walks along the beach up the river to the boat club and in the other direction you can walk easily to Scott's Bay and Wharley point. Remember to check the tides when walking on the beach. A steep climb will get you to the castle but the views from there are well worth the effort.
