View from Scott's Bay to Ferryside

Because of the combination of the river and tide, the beaches at Llanstephan are always changing. At the time I was here, these sandstone rocks were exposed. The shore has changed again since then. This was taken from Scott's Bay with Ferryside across the river Towy.

Llansteffan stands at the mouth of the river Towy. It is a pretty village with shops, pub and of course a castle. There are excellent walks along the beach up the river to the boat club and in the other direction you can walk easily to Scott's Bay and Wharley point. Remember to check the tides when walking on the beach. A steep climb will get you to the castle but the views from there are well worth the effort.
