Laugharne lies at the mouth of the river Taf in Carmarthenshire. It boasts a castle looking over the shore which once belonged to the princes of south Wales. Dylan Thomas lived in a fine position overlooking the river Taf and used Laugharne as his inspiration for Under Milk Wood.
